Product Spotlight with Paper Issues: Going to Paris (Echo Park Summer Dreams)

This week, Paper Issues is putting the spotlight on new Echo Park releases. I used the fun and colorful Summer Dreams collection on this layout about Alexa's upcoming trip to Paris and Spain.

Product Spotlight with Paper Issues: Under the Sea (Bella Blvd. Secrets of the Sea Boy)

Starting this month, Paper Issues is changing up how the Product Spotlight challenge works. Instead of featuring a particular collection, we'll showcase projects that fit a certain theme. This month the theme is Get Outdoors. I chose to use Bella Blvd.'s Secrets of the Sea collection. Nothing like a visit to the ocean, right?

Check out the Paper Issues blog today for more inspiration from the design team and see which outdoor collections they chose to work with.

Pawsitively Pets with Paper Issues: Pawsome (Fancy Pants Sweet Nothings)

This month's Pawsitively Pets challenge is "3 Things I Love About You". You can journal about it, put it in your title, etc. Incorporate it into your page however you'd like, but tell us three things you love about your pet, the zoo, or even animals in general.

I used Fancy Pants Sweet Nothings for my layout along with other items from my stash. How cute is Butterscotch, lifting his paw? He does that when he wants attention or to be petted. Cute, right?

So now it's your turn! Add your project to the Pawsitively Pets album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group by June 4th for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

Add It Up with Paper Issues: You're Some Kind of Wonderful (Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart)

Hi everyone! There's a brand new (super fun) challenge at Paper Issues called Add It Up. It's easy math, so don't worry. LOL!

Michelle has created a chart (see below) of items you can use on your project. Each item has its own point value. If you use multiples of an item, then you can add in even more points. For example, if you use two (2) photos, you'd get 10 points. If you used five (5) patterned papers, you'd get 25 points. Every month your completed project has to reach a certain point value. This month, Michelle wants us to get to at least 100 points. Given my style, I had no problem reaching 155 with patterned papers, journaling, a photo, flair, chipboard, a bow, a tag, multiple other embellishments, stickers and enamel dots.

Here's the chart and point values:

Now it's your turn to give it a try! Link your finished project to the Add It Up album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by June 4th to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

Sketchy Saturday with Paper Issues: Chic Fille (Dear Lizzy Lovely Day)

This month I'm playing along with the Sketchy Saturday challenge at Paper Issues. Each month Amy designs a fabulous sketch for us to work with.

Here's a look at this month's awesome sketch. I chose to turn it on its side, adding in a doily for the large circle and using plenty of little circle embellishments around the page.

You can play along too! Link your finished project to the Sketchy Saturday album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by June 4th to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

Pinspire Me with Paper Issues: Cute-tea Pie (Doodlebug Cream and Sugar)

It's time for the May Pinspire Me challenge at Paper Issues. I created this whimsical layout with Doodlebug's Cream and Sugar collection.

Here's a look at this month's mood board — so fun and eclectic! I was inspired by the blues, the brown on the eggs and the brighter colors on the giraffes' manes.

Create something based on this piece and post it in the Pinspire Me album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by June 4th for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. If you share your project on Instagram, be sure to use #paperissuespinspireme so we can leave you some love. :)

Notable Quotable with Paper Issues: Bedhead (Fancy Pants Family & Co.)

May's Notable Quotable challenge is now live at Paper Issues. Each month we work with a different quote and make a project based on it, whether it's inspired by the whole quote, just a word, the design, the colors, etc.

Here is May's inspiration
piece:

In case you're wondering how I was inspired, I went with the mix of colors, adding in a FREE cut file, Cloudy Circle, from the Paper Issues store. :)

Take 5 with Paper Issues: Maybe (Fancy Pants Family & Co.)

It's time for the May Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. This is such a fun challenge! You can play along too for a chance to win a gift certificate to the
Paper Issues store.

Here's how it works...each month there's a list of items to use as inspiration. Pick 5 of the items from the list and create a paper project (card, layout, off the page, pocket page, etc.) You can add other items, but you must use at least 5 items from the list.

Link your finished project to the Take 5 Challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by June 4th.

I love this challenge so much! In case you're wondering,
I went a little overboard and used way more than five this month: green, blue, cardstock, label, frame, diamonds (free cut file), sticker, something shiny, enamel dots, patterned paper and thread.
