Sophomore 2016 (Simple Stories #Whatever)

A free cut file from the Paper Issues store was the starting point for this layout about Alexa's first day of school.

I used Simple Stories new #Whatever collection which is perfect for pages about teens, especially when they come with a bit of an attitude. LOL!

Card Share: December Favorites (Fancy Pants Wish Season)

Right after Thanksgiving, I start writing out Christmas cards. I aim for getting 3-5 done per day. When do you send out your holiday cards?

I made this monochromatic card (OK, there's a pop of red, LOL) with Fancy Pants Wish Season and an awesome acrylic embellishment from Color Cast Designs. I added it to my Etsy shop. Hopefully someone will love it as much as I do. :)

Swag Bag Feature with Paper Issues: Typewriter Thank You Card

Hi everyone and welcome to another Swag Bag Feature from Paper Issues. Today I'm sharing a card I made with the November Swag Bag. I added in the enamel dots, machine stitching and heart sticker.

What is a Swag Bag you ask? It's a fun monthly kit that comes with a little of this and a little of that. It gives you a chance to try out collections you may be unsure of. It comes with a selection of embellishments too. It's a whole lot of fun for $9.99 (although you can get it for $7.99 if you use the code LISA20 when you place an order). I look forward to this shiny glassine bag full of happiness every month. :)

Check out what my fellow design team members made with the various Swag Bags. You'll find that post right here. :)

Pawsitively Pets with Paper Issues: You've Got That Loving Feline (We R Memory Keepers High Five)

I'm playing along with the Pawsitively Pets challenge at Paper Issues. This month's challenge is to use three or more patterned papers plus mist, paint or ink. I grabbed this photo from Alexa's phone. She used some kind of filter on it, so it's not the best, but I thought it was adorable.

Add your paper projects having to do with animals — a trip to the zoo or the aquarium, stuffed animals, your pet, etc. to the Pawsitively Pets album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group by December 5th for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

Take 5 with Paper Issues: Wonderland (Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa)

It's time for November's Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. Here's how it works...each month there's a list of items to use as inspiration. Pick 5 of the items from the list and create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off the page, pocket page, etc.) You can add other items and use your own ideas, but you must use at least 5 items from the list.

Here's the list for this month
:

Link your finished project to the Take 5 Challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by December 5th to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

I love this challenge so much and look forward to it every month. In case you're wondering, I used
 #2 red, #5 chipboard, #7 plaid/checks, #8 something shiny and #10 sticker(s). You'll find a few extras in there too. :)
