Card Share: M is for Mother (Simple Stories Life in Color)

Switching gears today and sharing a Mother's Day card instead of a birthday card. I put this together with Simple Stories new Life in Color collection. It's so pretty and colorful — a mix of florals, stripes and polka dots with wood grain. You'll be seeing other projects from me made with this collection, that's a promise. :)

If you're looking to add this collection to YOUR stash, you'll find it in the Paper Issues store. Use the code LISA20 to save 20%.

Card Share: Happy Day, Happy Birthday (Simple Stories Let's Party)

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a cute and colorful birthday card I made for Feed Your Craft in celebration of our fearless leader's birthday. She's not turning one, but she did just hit a milestone birthday. :)

I added a piece of flair from the Birthday Wishes Part Color set. I like how the flair plays off of the balloons and the adhesive brad on the tag.

Here's a look at this fun and festive set.

If you're addicted to flair like I am, especially mini flair, be sure to check out Feed Your Craft's Etsy shop. Fabulous new sets are added frequently. The code LISA20 will save you 20% off of your order.

Card Share: Woof (Bella Blvd. Riley) for Paper Issues Must Love Dogs Crop Challenge

One of the challenges at the Paper Issues online crop was called Must Love Dogs. Your project could be about any furry friend, not just dogs. I shared a dog sympathy card made with Bella Blvd.'s sweet Rover collection.

Card Share: Mr. & Mrs. (Dear Lizzy Documentary) for Paper Issues Crop Mood Board Challenge

The Paper Issues online crop included a beautiful mood board challenge. I was immediately drawn to the images in the top right and bottom right corners. I loved the fresh aqua and florals which made me think of a wedding card.

This mood board is so inspiring. I can see many interpretations coming out of it — sidewalk chalk, Easter projects, hand stitching, carousels and of course, food, food, food! :)

Card Share: Birthday Boy (Simple Stories Let's Party) for Paper Issues

I had the best time at the Paper Issues Spring crop which took place Friday through Sunday in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook Group. One of the Friday challenges (there were five challenges posted on each of the three days) was called Greetings and Salutations, all about card making so how could I not host this one? :)

Each challenge comes with a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store, plus there are some amazing grand prizes. A total of $250 in gift certificates are being given away.

All challenges are open until midnight (EST) on March 22nd. Winners will be announced on March 25th. So what are you waiting for? Come play along!

Don't feel like crafting? Then check out the latest additions to the store, including my personal favorite, tiny felt bow clips by Bella Blvd. Anything that's tiny is a friend of mine. LOL! You'll also find new Webster's Pages and Fancy Pants Atwell. Use the code LISA20 to save 20% on your order. I mean, what's a crop without some shopping, right?

Card Share: Hip Hip Hooray (Simple Stories Let's Party)

Hip hip hooray, someone is turning two today and we're celebrating Simple Stories style.

I'm loving Simple Stories' new Let's Party collection, especially the Pocket Pieces

— a package of twenty die cut numbers (they even fit 3x4 pockets). I've been working on a whole series of age specific birthday cards, making my way through the package, alternating between making a boy card and a girl card. I'll be sharing the finished cards soon.

In the meantime, if you love this collection as much as I do, be sure to check out the Paper Issues store for the new Simple Stories collections (and other new additions). You can save 20% on your order with the code LISA20.

Have a great day!

Card Share: You Said I Do (Fancy Pants Happy Place)

Happy Tuesday! I paired Fancy Pants Happy Place and Dear Lizzy Documentary to create this soft and pretty wedding card. I added a piece of mini flair from Feed Your Craft because what's a card without some dimension and flair? :)

Card Share: Furball (Bella Blvd. Rover)

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a cat sympathy card, made with Bella Blvd.'s Riley collection. Somehow pet sympathy cards have gotten quite popular in my little Etsy shop. I'm sad that so many people are in need of them, but I'm glad they bring pet owners comfort during a difficult time.

Take 5 with Paper Issues: Boy, a Noise with Dirt on It (Crate Paper Little You Boy)

Hey everyone! It's time for another Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. Here's how it works...each month there's a list of items to use as inspiration. Pick 5 of the items from the list and create a paper crafting project of any kind (card, layout, off the page, PL, etc.) You can add in other items and use your own ideas, but you must use at least 5 items from the list.

Here's the list for March:

1. the color yellow

2. the color white

3. the color blue

4. polka dots

5. a cloud

6. enamel dots or shapes

7. a title

8. 2 patterned papers

9. a flower

10. a poem or quote

11. something silver

12. an envelope

13. 2 photos

14. cardstock

15. an animal (This could be a photo of your pet, a picture from the zoo, a flamingo sticker, etc. You get the idea!)

Link your finished project to the Take 5 Challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store).

I'm really enjoying this challenge. I hope you are too! In case you're wondering, I used #1, #2, #3, #4 and #6. :)
