Pocket Pages: Gallop Returns '14 (Echo Park Fall is in the Air)

Some of you may remember Gallop, our Turkey on the Shelf. For those of you who don't, Gallop came into our lives about four years ago. He arrives at the beginning of November and makes a run for it the night before Thanksgiving so he doesn't end up on the dinner table. Each day he's here, he manages to either be helpful or cause mischief.

I finally got around to scrapping photos of his visit from 2014 because Echo Park's Fall is in the Air collection worked well with the colors in my photos.

Here's a closer look at the left page:

Pawsitively Pets with Paper Issues: Is it for Me?

Paper Issues has a brand new monthly challenge called Pawsitively Pets. I scrapped a photo of Alexa's cat trying to steal her ice cream but you can share anything having to do with animals — a trip to the zoo or the aquarium, stuffed animals, etc.

Add your project to the Pawsitively Pets album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group by October 2nd for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

Flip To My Flop (Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness)

In third grade, two girls met and were instant friends. They were soul sisters, meant to spend their lives as best friends. As life would have it, Alexa's best friend moved to VA and then to AZ in fourth grade. They hadn't seen each other since fifth grade.

This all changed when Alexa made a week long visit to AZ when school got out. The girls have stayed in touch all of these years but were so, so happy to be reunited. Of course they picked up right where they left off and had a wonderful visit (although too short).

Thankfully her BFF is moving back to VA within a year or so. At least she'll be closer. They are so adorable and cute together and meant to be friends for life.

Take 5 with Paper Issues: Hooray 10 (Echo Park Party Time)

It's time for the September Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. Here's how it works...each month there's a list of items to use as inspiration. Pick 5 of the items from the list and create a paper crafting project (card, layout, off the page, pocket page, etc.) You can add other items and use your own ideas, but you must use at least 5 items from the list.

Here's the list for this month

Link your finished project to the Take 5 Challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by October 2nd to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

I love this challenge so much and look forward to it every month. In case you're wondering, I used
 #1 blue, #2 yellow, #3 red, #6 number and #9 circles.

Pinspire Me with Paper Issues: Rise & Shine (Echo Park Teacher's Pet)

I'm playing along with the September Pinspire Me challenge at Paper Issues. Here's a look at the inspiration piece. I love the vintage vibe and those #2 pencils sure bring back memories!

My card was inspired by the rulers, school bus, overall color scheme and the clock.

Create something based on this piece and post it in the Pinspire Me album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by October 2nd for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. If you share your project on Instagram, be sure to hashtag it with #paperissuespinspireme so we can leave you some love. :)
