Card Share: So Sunny (Simple Stories Summer Vibes)

I have one last teacher thank you card to share with you. I went with a summer theme for all of the teacher thank you cards I made since everyone was so looking forward to summer (except Alexa who has five more weeks of recuperation to look forward to following spinal fusion surgery).

Card Share: Confetti Birthday

As soon as I added this card to my Etsy shop, it was on its way to MN.

I paired a bold floral with lime green star paper, topping the star paper with hot pink polka dot vellum.

There's plenty of texture on here from the cork number, to the burlap heart, wooden heart and felt bow.

I know the buyer loved it. I hope the recipient did too.

Card Share: Wonderful Day (Pink Paislee Fancy Free)

I made this thank you card for one of Alexa's dance teachers. I used an eclectic mix of items from my stash and papers from Pink Paislee's Fancy Free collection. A little silver "dance" charm adds a personalized touch and a bit of shine.

Card Share: Salty Breeze (Simple Stories Summer Vibes)

I still have a couple of year end teacher thank you cards to share although school has been out for a couple of weeks now. I used Simple Stories Summer Vibes for all of the cards. I am down to just scraps at this point, but I'm sure I'll figure out a way to use those too. :)

Dreaming (Crate Paper Little Girl)

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing another layout featuring one of Alexa's dance photos.

This photo is from her lyrical routine, performed to a song called "Dreaming". The girls performed in long, white cotton nightgowns. They were not the easiest to leap in (in fact, Alexa's tore during a rehearsal), but all was well during competition and performances.

Pinspire Me with Paper Issues: Lemonade (Simple Stories Summer Vibes)

I'm playing along with July's Pinspire Me Challenge at Paper Issues. Here's a look at the yummy, summery inspiration piece.

My card was inspired by the summer theme, the mason jar and the cool colors.

Create something based on this piece and post it in the Pinspire Me album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by August 1st for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. If you share your project on Instagram, be sure to hashtag it with #paperissuespinspireme.

Card Share: The Best Ever (Pink Paislee Fancy Free)

Today I'm sharing another card made with the package of chipboard anchors I found in Target's Dollar Spot. The first card featured a navy blue anchor, the second featured a light pink one and this one showcases the light blue. I love the nautical look!

I embellished with enamel dots, a piece of flair, twine, a button and a die cut all atop a pre-printed tag for a clean and simple look.

Take 5 with Paper Issues: Dance Adventure (Pink Paislee Fancy Free)

It's time for another Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. Here's how it works...each month there's a list of items to use as inspiration. Pick 5 of the items from the list and create a paper crafting project of any kind (card, layout, off the page, pocket page, etc.) You can add other items and use your own ideas, but you must use at least 5 items from the list.

Here's the list for July:

Link your finished project to the Take 5 Challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by August 1st to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

I love this challenge so much and really look forward to what Mary-Ann has in store for us every month. In case you're wondering, I used #2 the color white, #3 the color blue, #4 a tag, #7 patterned paper and #8 a star (well five, LOL).

American Woman (Pebbles America the Beautiful)

Happy 4th of July! I thought it fitting to start the week by sharing a red, white and blue layout.

Alexa's 2016 tap routine was performed to "American Woman". Of course I had to go with stars and stripes and a patriotic color scheme, given her costume. The costume consisted of leggings (one leg had red and white stripes, the other had white stars on a navy background), a white t-shirt and a distressed denim vest. The girls did an amazing job with this routine. It was fun to watch, over and over and over. :)
