Card Share: From Point A to Point B

When I first saw the fun felt banner in a recent Paper Issues Swag Bag, I knew I had to use it on a graduation card. I paired it with a variety of items from my stash and a tag from Target's Dollar Spot. I think it would also be perfect for a travel layout. What would you use it for?

The May Swag Bag was recently released so grab one up if you get a chance. They sell out really fast. Use the code LISA20 and you'll get 20% off of your entire order, including the new Photo Play collections and Lawn Fawn inks and dies.

Card Share: Dance Playlist (Pink Paislee Fancy Free)

Alexa's spring performance is coming up so I've been busy working on thank you cards for her dance teachers. I stitched a silver "dance" charm to each of the cards.

While working with Pink Paislee's new Fancy Free collection, I discovered that it pairs really well with Simple Stories Summer Vibes.

I wonder who this card is for? I can't give it away just yet...

Card Share: 2016 Hopes

Today I'm giving a nod to graduates everywhere and the class of 2016 — whether it's from preschool, kindergarten and elementary school on up. They've worked hard working on their hopes and dreams to reach this milestone. Congratulations to you all!

Card Share: #So Rad Dad (Simple Stories So Rad)

Father's Day is fast approaching so I've been working on stocking my Etsy shop with cards. I happened to have a bit of Simple Stories So Rad in my stash so that's where I started. Not sure what I'll move onto once I'm down to scraps but we'll see where my creativity takes me. :)

Card Share: Special Day (Simple Stories Let's Party)

I'll end my blogging week with a clean and simple birthday card. I stitched two pieces of patterned paper together, embellishing with only two die cuts and enamel dots. Can't get any easier than that, right? :) Pre-printed papers make for easy card making.

Card Share: Your Life is a Story

With graduation season upon us, I thought I'd share one of the cards I've made for my Etsy shop (plus I'm happy to say it's been sold). Most of it is made up from odds and ends from my stash with a few new pieces added in for fun. The inside sentiment says, "Congratulations Graduate! Enjoy the Ride..." Of course I had to come up with a pun to play off of the bicycle sticker, right?

This is Bliss (Fancy Pants Happy Place)

On National Scrapbooking Day, I hosted a Mix Master challenge at the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group online crop. The challenge was to use a mix of collections from the same manufacturer OR use a mix of product from a variety of manufacturers. Which one do you think I chose? :)

Card Share: Right Now, Believe

We had a super fun National Scrapbooking Day Scrap & Chat in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group, complete with a whole bunch of challenges. The card I'm sharing today was based on a beautiful mood board challenge.

As you can probably tell, the colors really inspired me. They're so fresh and pretty!

Crepe Date (Fancy Pants Happy Place)

Surprise! I have a layout to share with you today. This photo is from last summer when we went out to celebrate my birthday. As you can probably guess from the title, we went out for crepes. :)

I used Fancy Pants Happy Place, adding in items from my stash (some going way back) and a few new goodies too.

Pinspire Me with Paper Issues: Goals (Echo Park Teacher's Pet)

I'm playing along with the May Pinspire Me Mood Board at Paper Issues. Here's a look at the inspiration piece. As you can see there's a bit of a coffee theme going on. :)

Create something based on this piece and post it in the Pinspire Me album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by June 6th for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. If you share your project on Instagram, be sure to hashtag it with #paperissuespinspireme.

Card Sketch Challenge with Paper Issues: Be Silly

Hi everyone! Once again I'm playing along with Paper Issues' card sketch challenge. I made this card for the man who is student teaching and playing accompaniment in Alexa's chorus class. She loves him so much because he makes chorus fun. I've seen him in action and he really is silly, honest and kind.

Here's a look at the May sketch:

Add your card to the challenge album by June 6th for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store. If you're in the mood to shop for fresh new supplies, be sure to use the code LISA20 to save 20%. :)

Take 5 with Paper Issues: Pencil it In

It's time for another Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues. Here's how it works...each month there's a list of items to use as inspiration. Pick 5 of the items from the list and create a paper crafting project of any kind (card, layout, off the page, pocket page, etc.) You can add other items and use your own ideas, but you must use at least 5 items from the list.

Here's the list for May:

Link your finished project to the Take 5 Challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by June 6th to be in the running for a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.

I really look forward to this challenge every month. I hope you do too! In case you're wondering, I used #2, #3, #4, #5 and #10 (and then some). :)

Card Share: ...And Many More (Simple Stories Let's Party)

Here's a look at another card from what I'm calling my age specific birthday card series. I couldn't resist adding the cute ball jar die cut.

Simple Stories' Let's Party made this card a breeze to put together using two patterned papers, die cuts and stickers (plus enamel dots for dimension). I'm really hoping Simple Stories will come out with larger die cuts to go with upcoming collections. I can't get enough of these Pocket Pieces.

Any birthdays coming up in your family? How do you celebrate?
