January Java Journal: Places I've Visited

Today we're taking a trip down memory lane — all the way back to 1977 when I spent the summer in Israel with my Dad and one of my sisters. I was 14 years old at the time, the age Alexa is now. That's me on the right in the photo. Don't I look thrilled?

Although the prompt in my #januaryjavajournal is Places I Want To Travel To, I took it in a different direction and journaled about a place I HAVE traveled too. It was fun to revisit the memories with my sister, including the chance to meet Golda Meir (and telling her she shouldn't smoke so much, LOL).

I used a bunch of travel-themed embellishments from my stash, like suitcase rub ons, map chipboard frames and a wood veneer "ticket", along with pieces of Feed Your Craft flair that worked well with my topic and design.

The good news is, this project is continuing through the month of February, with prompts being shared every Monday in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group. Don't worry if you didn't start from the beginning. Just work with whatever prompt(s) appeal to you. Before you know it, you'll have a journal filled with great memories!
