Card Share: Wish Season (Fancy Pants Wish Season)

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm just about done sharing holiday cards and projects (do I hear a collective sigh of relief? LOL!) I used Fancy Pants Wish Season, along with an awesome acrylic tree from Color Cast Designs to make this card. I'm loving the pink and fresh mint green.

How about you? Do you prefer traditional holiday colors or do you like to mix it up a bit?

I'll be back on Friday with my first post of the new year. See you then!

Altered Project: Magnetic Chalkboard

Hi everyone! I'm going to keep this short and sweet, but I wanted to give you a look at the gift Alexa gave her school teachers.

I put these together with a little help from my friends — thank you to Pier 1 for the festive magnetic chalkboards (and for having them on sale on Black Friday); Jen at Smudge Creative Design for the fabulous printable. She won me over with the dimensional gold glitter star. No mess!; Elise at Feed Your Craft for the fun holiday flair; and Target for the silver clips and packages of chalk.

I can imagine these being used as menu boards for a holiday get together or you could change out the seasonal greeting for a family photo. There are endless possibilities!

Card Share: I'm Noel (Fancy Pants Wish Season)

Since there are 12 days of Christmas, I thought I would be okay to share a few more holiday cards. This one is based on a card sketch created by Corri Garza, one of my fellow Paper Issues design team members.

Every month Corri creates a card and a sketch as one of the many challenges in the Paper Issues {Friends and Fans} group. Group members play along for a chance to win one of two gift certificates to the Paper Issues store.

Add your creation to the card sketch challenge album by 1/3/16 for a chance to win!

Card Share: So Much Fun (Fancy Pants Wish Season)

Have you guys seen the Fancy Pants Wish Season collection? I am in love! It's a great mix of modern design with a 50s era vintage feel to it. This is one of two cards I've made so far. The tag and ephemera packs have so many pieces. Between those and the 6x6 paper pad, I see many more projects in my future.

If you'd like to see more Wish Season projects, please visit the Paper Issues blog today for some great inspiration from the design team.

Card Share: Mistletoe (Simple Stories Claus & Co.)

Do you hang mistletoe as part of your holiday decorating? If you can believe it, I never have.

I love how the black tag complements the colors on this card but makes them pop at the same time. I added in a piece of flair from Feed Your Craft and some sparkling enamel dots to give the card a bit of dimension.

Card Share: Cheer Joy (Simple Stories Claus & Co.)

Only a few more days until Christmas so I need to step up my game so I can share all of the cards I made. Believe it or not, I used an entire Simple Stories Claus & Co. 6x6 paper pad and was able to make a whole bunch of cards. For this one, I embellished a 3x4 card already printed with a washi tape "tree". I kept it simple, using a die cut word, foiled snowflakes and enamel dots.

Do you love snowmen? I do. I dressed this one up with enamel dots and stickers. He's looking pretty festive, don't you think?

Card Share: Candy Shoppe (Simple Stories Claus & Co.)

As it so happens, last year's Cozy Christmas collection from Simple Stories works really well with this year's Claus & Co. I love being able to use up items from my stash. In this case it was a number of sentiment stickers.

Card Share: 25 (Simple Stories Claus & Co.)

I'm going a little 50s era vintage on you today with an old red pick up truck and old fashioned Christmas lights. A piece of flair, from Feed Your Craft, adds a contemporary, festive touch.

Card Share: Farm Fresh Trees (Simple Stories Claus & Co.)

Do you prefer a fresh cut or artificial Christmas tree? If you get fresh cut, do you cut it down yourself? I love the smell of fresh cut trees, but I'm allergic to them, so we switched to a pre-lit artificial tree a few years ago (and the darn thing still drops needles).

Card Share: Santa Belly (Silhouette)

I gave my Silhouette a work out (an easy one) to make this card. I used cut files for the belt buckle and "fur" trim. I melded a fun font from my library to make the sentiment. Two stitched buttons finish off the card. I think Santa would get a chuckle out of this paper suit, don't you?

Card Share: Merry Christmas (Simple Stories DIY Christmas)

I was rummaging around in my holiday stash, when I came across a sheet of circle stickers from last year's Simple Stories Christmas collection. They inspired me to make this card. I filled one of the 12 (for the 12 days of Christmas) spots with a piece of flair from Feed Your Craft. The flair adds just the right amount of dimension. This card was so simple and easy to put together, but I love how it came out.

Card Share: Red Cup Season (Simple Stories Claus & Co.) for Feed Your Craft

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a project made for Feed Your Craft. I used two pieces of mini flair on this card, each from a different set.

The tree is from the Tis the Season set (shown below).

and "Red Cup Season" is from the Coffee Shop set (shown below). I can't wait to use "It's a Frappy Kind of Day! LOL!

There are plenty of other great sets in the store so be sure to poke around. I'm sure you'll find something you love. As an added bonus, the code LISA20 will save you 20% on your purchase.

Card Share: A Season of Love (Simple Stories Claus & Co.)

Do you have your holiday gifts wrapped yet or do you like to save it all for a frantic wrapping frenzy on Christmas Eve? LOL! Well, it's time to unwrap the holiday season, thanks to Simple Stories Claus & Co. I layered up a bunch of die cuts, layered them over some Jingle Bells music paper from the 6x6 paper pad and finished it off with enamel dots and adhesive Bradz. Festive and fun (and ready to be unwrapped). :)

Card Share: Just a Little Flaky

Pinks and browns for a Christmas card? Sure! Why not? It's not traditional, but it sure is fun and festive (and it makes me want some gingerbread cookies).

As it turns out, one of my customers bought this card for her mom who is a breast cancer survivor. She was drawn to the pinks and the "love & hope" sticker. I love when my customers share the stories behind their selections. I was really touched by this one.

Card Share: Hanukkah Family Traditions

One last Hanukkah card to share today. This one puts the focus on family traditions, along with an eight to represent the eight nights of the holiday, plus I used an "h" sticker as a "monogram". So "h" can stand for Hanukkah or holiday, whichever you prefer. :)
