Card Share: Hanukkah Under Our Roof

Hanukkah starts Sunday night, 12/6, so this week I thought I'd share some of the cards I made. All of them started with 3x4 pocket scrapping cards that were gifted to me and then I added in items from my stash. I couldn't resist adding the number eight, to stand for the eight nights of the holiday.

I'll be back tomorrow with a dreidel card. See you then!

Card Share: Eat, Drink and Be Thankful (Photo Play Autumn Day)

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! Can you believe it? I'll be sharing one more card tomorrow. Don't forget to eat, drink and be thankful (just like the mini flair says). It's part of the So Thankful set at Feed Your Craft. You'll be thankful when you shop with the code LISA20 because you'll save 20% off of your purchase. Think of it as a little Thanksgiving gift to yourself (or an early Christmas or Hanukkah present). :)

Card Share: Family Time (Photo Play Autumn Day)

Since we're heading into the final stretch before Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share a card about family time (I know, sometimes they drive us crazy, but what would we do without them?) The leaf flair is from Feed Your Craft. Mini flair is my "go to" solution when I need "just one more thing" before calling a project finished.

The code LISA20 will save you 20% in the Feed Your Craft shop. New designs are added regularly so be sure to check back often.

Card Share: Apples, Yes Please (Photo Play Autumn Day)

This card is based on a sketch challenge hosted by one of my fellow Paper Issues design team members, Corri Garza. Every month, Corri shares a card and a sketch in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group. I always like to play along since cards seem to be my "thing" these days.

Hi everyone! Thanksgiving is in 10 more days. Ten more days! Can you believe it? Are you ready? With the holiday almost upon us, I wanted to share this Thanksgiving card I made for Feed Your Craft. The "count your blessings" flair piece, from the So Thankful Mini Flair Badges set, was perfect for adding a pop of dimension to my card.

Here's a look at the whole set:

Card Share: Thankful for You

Today I'm sharing another gratitude/Thanksgiving card made with items from my stash and products from a Paper Issues Swag Bag. I love the blue and brown combo with the texture from the wood veneer leaves and "cork" sentiment.

Card Share: Bow Wow (Bella Blvd. Rover)

I recently connected with an Etsy customer who works with dogs and wanted to have a stash of sympathy cards on hand for when one of her clients loses their fur baby. She was absolutely thrilled with the cards I made for her (and has now requested some dog Thanksgiving cards). I tried to keep the sympathy cards colorful and cheerful, even though they're for a sad occasion.

Let Me Espresso My Gratitude with Paper Issues: Give Thanks (Photo Play Autumn Day)

A new linky party started at Paper Issues today. It's called Let Me Espresso My Gratitude. Here are some ideas to get you thinking about what you could link up for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues store:

  • Show us your Thanksgiving projects and tell us what you are thankful for.
  • Share a project about coffee. Is coffee your favorite beverage? How about using a coffee cup embellishment? Get inky and use a coffee-themed stamp or add a coffee stain to your page.
  • Download the latest free printable from the Paper Issues store and use one or more of the cards on your project.
The card above was created for my Attitude of Gratitude challenge for the Paper Issues crop which started this past weekend (entries are due 11/14 and winners will be announced 11/16). I used one of my new favorite fall collections, Photo Play Autumn Day. I also added in a piece of mini flair from Feed Your Craft's So Thankful set (in fact, I used up the whole set on various projects I'll be sharing over the next few weeks).

If you adore mini flair (7/8") like I do, and feel the need to stock up a bit, use the code LISA20 when you shop in the Feed Your Craft store to save 20% on your order. A whole bunch of sweet new sets have just been added.

The code LISA20 will also get you 20% off when you shop at Paper Issues. There's savings all around! :)

Card Share: We Are So Blessed

When I started making Thanksgiving cards this year, I focused on using up older items in my stash, including a scrap of paper from Imaginisce. I paired it with Echo Park's "We Are So Blessed" cut file. It was a quick and easy card to put together. I like when that happens!

Card Share: Thankful Heart (Photo Play Autumn Day)

I'm having such a great time creating with Photo Play's Autumn Day collection. I made a whole bunch of Thanksgiving cards, using up just about every sticker. I know, you're surprised. LOL! Creating with one collection makes card making much easier and quicker. You can mix and match patterns and have embellishments on hand that will work, no matter what you create. I'll be sharing more cards made with Autumn Day in the coming days...Stay tuned. :)
