Taking a Self-Me at Thirteen (Simple Stories I Am)

You never know what little gems you'll find when you ask your almost fourteen year old to show you her phone photos. It's fun to see her perspective on things — selfies, photos of her with her friends and hundreds of photos of her cat.

This photo allowed me to document what Alexa's doing in her life right now — what she loves, what she's accomplishing, what her plans are for going into high school next year, etc.

Simple Stories I Am collection worked well with this black and white photo, because it allowed me to bring in plenty of color. The stack of books sticker (under the ampersand die cut) couldn't be more perfect for my sweet bookworm. I worked in plenty of other embellishments that mirror who Alexa is at this stage in her life too. :)

  11. So cool - I am thinking that I need to get some photos off my phone and onto a page!! THIS layout is as lovely as Alexa is!! So many awesome details and just so much that draws your eye to your beautiful daughter!!! My favorite part is the square with the heart and the word ENOUGH!! What an awesome way to celebrate your daughter and help her know and believe that she is enough!! You are so awesome!!
