Spring Scavenger Hunt Polaroid Album (Little Yellow Bicycle Poppy)

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday and Happy Father's Day! I'm guest designing for Gina's Designs this month, a new company offering "laser cut chipboard shapes and mini albums." There are so many options to choose from, including pretty doilies and off-the-page products too.

I'll be sharing my projects over the next three Sundays, starting off with this adorable Polaroid-style mini album. I altered the album using Little Yellow Bicycle's new Poppy collection and flair from A Flair for Buttons.

This album is a photographic record of a yearly scavenger hunt Alexa and I go on with the hopes of spotting signs of spring. Those signs came a bit late this year, but we found them nonetheless. They can't elude us. :)

This first collage shows the front and back cover as well as the first two facing pages.

These are more of the inside pages. Each photograph is paired with a facing page created with a mix of layered embellishments like journaling cards, word stickers, pockets and chipboard.

These are the last few pages in the album. You may have noticed holes punched into the top left corner of each page. The album is held together by a metal ring which is run through the holes, and tied simply with a chevron ribbon bow (see photo at the top of this post).

My album is up on the Gina's Designs blog today along with a giveaway. Be sure to check it out! If you're interested in the seeing what this album looked like before it was altered, you can see it here.

Gina was kind enough to let me do a giveaway here on my blog too. I'm giving away a set of miniature chipboard clipboards. The package includes 4 backer boards, 4 clips and 4 clip cover pieces. I used one of these cuties to create a Doodlebug Design clipboard as part of my recent guest spot. Just leave a comment on this post and you'll have a chance to win. Open to US, Canada and Mexico residents only (sorry to my other international readers). I'll be choosing a winner on Wednesday, July 3rd.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll have another chipboard project to share next Sunday.

  10. I love the idea of a annual scavenger hunt for signs of Spring. How fun that is! I guess a hunt doesn't work quite as well for other seasons. :) But maybe I could adapt it and we could walk the neighborhood to look for sprinklers, bicycles and fireflies for summer! Your album is super cute. Is the base of every page a Polaroid and on some pages you covered the opening? It's such a cute album design. Great use of Poppy. So colorful. Perfect for your topic!
