I need a bit of summer right now (even a small taste would be nice) so I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Splash collection for my current design team assignment. The background was created with vellum tape strips layered diagonally across a mat of white cardstock. Because the tapes are somewhat transparent, it was easy to trim away any pieces overhanging the edge of the cardstock. The burlap circle (from the Naturals collection) not only highlights the flower, but adds dimension and texture to the card. The flower center was created with a patterned wood button (also from the Naturals collection) and some red jute.
Please stop by the Little Yellow Bicycle blog today to see this card in more detail.
