Welcome to Day 5 of It's Hip to Be Square! Today my guest is the talented Diana Fisher. Diana currently designs for Imaginisce, Scrapbook Circle, Paper Issues, Cocoa Daisy and ScrapFIT. I also know, for a fact, that she creates amazing sketches. :)
Diana used a 6x6 paper pad from Pink Paislee's Portfolio collection for this 8.5" x 11" layout that showcases her signature style. Let's find out how Diana makes 6x6 papers work for her "scaled down" pages.
"I would have to say that as I mostly make 8.5" x 11" layouts, I love that the 6x6 papers allow for the same great patterns and colors as the larger 12x12 papers, just sized down. It helps in being able to get the same effect and design as those using the larger papers. It makes it look to-scale. And they are so easy to layer and combine in the smaller sizes."
Diana did a beautiful job layering a number of 6x6 papers to create a foundation for the rest of her page. I love how she angled the papers to give the page a fun look. This technique also allows you to see all of the papers she used. She even tore back a portion of the paper to give you more of a peek at the bottom most sheet.
Thanks for stopping by today and thank you, Diana, for sharing your wonderful idea with all of us! Please be sure to visit Diana's inspiring blog: Design by Diana.
