Teacher Tuesday: End of Year Teacher Gift Ideas

We interrupt this week's Tasty Tuesday to bring you Teacher Tuesday. :)

I know for some of you school is already out, and has been for a while, but we're at 11 days and counting. Time to start thinking about end of the year teacher gifts. Today I'm sharing some ideas I've come across and some that friends have shared with me.

1. Insulated cup filled with powdered drink packets by Lisa Storms. This is the idea I'm going with. I found two-packs of these cups (actually with a floral design) at Home Goods for $7. Target currently has the powdered drink packets in the Dollar Spot. I also bought a box of Choxie chocolate truffles on clearance at Target that I plan to put in here as well since Alexa's teacher loves chocolate. Be sure to look at Lisa's other amazing gift and party ideas (link on her blog).

2. Here's another variation on the insulated cup by Glue Dots. This idea includes twine-wrapped bundles of drink packets held together by a patterned paper band. Great way to use up patterned paper scraps.

3. Mason jar gift card holder by Melissa Stinson for Pink Paislee. This gorgeous project is a bit more involved but it can be adapted for any paper collection or occasion.

4. Candy tubes by Ashley Newell for A Cherry On Top. I have a bunch of these tubes saved and now I know what to do with them. These too can be adapted for any occasion but how cute would they be filled with a teacher's favorite candy or some pencils or other office supplies?

5. Transparency pouches by Melissa Phillips for Simple Stories. Every Simple Stories collection kit comes with a package of 4 x 6 coordinating transparencies that can be used to make this adorable pouch filled with licorice sticks (or even wrapped candy and a gift card). Take a look at other variations on this idea by following the link.

6. Rolo candy pencils from The Blackberry Vine blog. Aren't these adorable? I know I wouldn't mind getting one...or two...or three. LOL!

7. Just in case you weren't inspired enough...The Happy Home Fairy blog has a great compilation of other ideas from around the web.

So there you have it...ideas to get your creative juices flowing. If you've come across other craft-related teacher gift ideas, I'd love to see. I can use all of the inspiration I can get. :)

  2. Lots of great ideas!!
Love the gift card jar especially.
Such a unique way to give a gift card :)
I used a S'more idea that I saw on Pinterest this year for teacher appreciation day. But just used a cute tin pail from Target with a "fireworks" theme on it. We stuffed it with tissue paper, a some chocolate, and two gift cards and wrapped the whole thing in plastic.
