Forever Grateful (My Mind's Eye Liberty)

Reading a book about a World War II veteran's story of resilience and survival caused me to watch this year's Memorial Day parade with fresh eyes. When two Humvees carrying veterans of World War II and the Korean War passed by, my eyes filled with tears. Our military personnel make many sacrifices for the good of our country and to sustain the rights so many take for granted. I am forever grateful to them all, past and present.

  2. Really fabulous!
Is that journaling hidden on the tag under the photo?
Love that ribbon tied to it, too!
    And great layering as well!

I think the movie Saving Private Ryan really opened my eye's to some of the horrors of that war.

  5. Beautiful tribute! I always get teary-eyed at military parades. My daughter is adopted from South Korea and I feel a special gratitude for those who fought in the Korean war. If not for their sacrifice, I wouldn't have my daughter
